Pharmacy Addition for Neighborhood Health Clinic Increases Access
Project Overview
Wolverine’s Commercial Construction team completed this pharmacy addition to the Clinica Santa Maria for our repeat client, Trinity Health.
The pharmacy is one of several projects completed by Wolverine in Grand Rapids’ Roosevelt Park neighborhood. Clinica Santa Maria offers care to underserved populations including migrant communities as well as people who are homeless and/or uninsured. Because they serve the area’s many Spanish-speaking residents, their entire staff is bilingual. Wolverine posted bilingual jobsite signage and had Spanish-speaking staff available to meet the needs of trade contractors and neighbors.
Pharmacy construction carries extensive permitting and inspection requirements, and Wolverine communicated continuously with Trinity Health to ensure we met all milestone dates. A small but critical component of the project was the transaction drawer for the drive-thru. The drawer was ordered early, and the team did extensive field measuring to verify that the customer was happy with the installation.
This project required extensive coordination with other organizations.
