A world-class cardiac care facility
Project Overview
Wolverine Building Group constructed the Fred and Lena Meijer Heart Center on behalf of Spectrum Health, the area’s leading health care provider.
The project involved the construction of a 10-story, 332,000-square-foot, world-class cardiac care facility. In addition to exam rooms, operating rooms and patient rooms, the building contains a supersized elevator which is used to move patients between floors with ease.
Several unique architectural features were incorporated into the project including a healing garden atrium with water features to enhance the patient and family environment.
The $79 million facility consolidated various cardiac care functions into one facility including invasive and non-invasive treatment as well as the latest surgical capabilities.
