Custom Engineered Building Enhances Safety & Satisfaction
Project Overview
This custom-engineered metal building manufacturing facility was a design-build project centered around increasing safety, production and streamlining distribution. End-use clients desired room to expand, consolidate production and house raw materials. There are 90,000 SF for manufacturing/warehouse use and 10,000 SF of office space.
The building was constructed for long-time Wolverine client, Robert Grooters Development. As work progressed, Grooters client, Seal Bond, made the decision to purchase the building after working with the Design Build team to create an environment designed to dramatically enhance the safety culture and conditions for the employees and product.
The safety features include H3/H4 rooms, on-site lab for research & development, spill containment, customized HVAC, dry chemical fire suppression, and conditioned production areas.
Working closely with the manufacturing team, leadership and government/public safety officials, the project team guided these elements of the build to create a highly satisfied client and their community. Knowing that this world-class manufacturing facility was designed to the highest levels of safety has helped with employee retention, community buy in with the added feature of protecting product.
