Expansion Doubles the Capacity
Project Overview
Wolverine Building Group constructed this manufacuturing and distribution expansion for Paramount Coffee as well as several buildouts within the building to enhance operations.
Wolverine completed the expansion, creating the new space at twice the height as the original space.. The new space allows for additional racking that expedited the distribution process. When building an addition that is two times the height of the original building, the design build team planned for the additional snow load, reinforcing the first 25 feet of the original building. Additionally, the structure of the addition had to be constructed with extra joists to handle the load. Tieing into the existing building was complex but handled smoothly with the engineering capabilities of the team.
