Project Overview
Wolverine Building Group’s Construction Management team completed an 11,050-square-foot office renovation on behalf of Feyen Zylstra. Pre-construction and construction services were included.
The building, which was originally constructed in 1979 by the Bissell Corporation, served as executive offices before transitioning to a call center. It is now owned by Main Street Capital and leased by Feyen Zylstra. The project involved a complete interior demolition with a new open-office floor plan. A new breakroom and conference rooms were created, both with “pods” for employee privacy when needed. Exterior renovations included new windows in masonry walls, a new roof, exterior paint, and a new expanded parking lot.
The building will be used by Feyen Zylstra’s industrial technology division, which handles projects involving industrial automation. The company has several automation engineers, software developers, coders, and programmers on staff, and this new space will allow them room for growth. They believe this division will add 100 new jobs in the coming years.
