Affordable Housing Project Kicks-Off Multi-Year Community Transformation
Project Overview
Wolverine Building Group constructed this 50,000 SF affordable apartment facility at the corner of Grandville and Franklin in the heart of Grand Rapids. The Avenida Brillante Apartments is part of the “Viva La Avenida” campaign to revitalize Grand Rapids’ Roosevelt Park neighborhood.
The three-story facility houses twenty-four two- and three-bedroom living spaces, community space, and underground parking with secure spaces for bicycles and scooters. Located within walking distance of parks, restaurants, schools, and markets, Avenida Brillante supports an eco-friendly lifestyle.
This project carried the logistical challenge of coordinating with other construction projects. Habitat for Humanity and and GRPS had active projects on adjacent sites that required additional communication and scheduling. Our team did extensive coordination with these other organizations to produce this asset to the Roosevelt neighborhood.
