Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen coming to Greenville in 2018

As the foundation is poured and walls are raised for one new eatery in town, another restaurant is now a step away from being approved.

Coming off the heels of approving a Culver’s Restaurant this summer, currently being built at 1825 W. Washington St. (M-57), the Greenville Planning Commission approved a “major amendment” to the Youngman Center Planned Unit Development (PUD) Thursday evening to allow a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen with a drive-thru window to be constructed on the same property.

Upon final approval from the Greenville City Council next month, the Popeyes restaurant, which is known for its fried chicken and Cajun-style cuisine, will be built adjacent and to the west of the new Culver’s, becoming the third restaurant, along with Taco Bell and Culver’s, within the PUD.
