Major Renovations Begin at GVSU

March 27, 2013 (Allendale, MI) – Wolverine Building Group is pleased to announce the start of the James H. Zumberge Hall Addition and Renovation project at Grand Valley State University’s Allendale campus.

Along with architect Via Design, Wolverine Building Group’s team will expand the existing building to more than 90,000 square feet. For years, the James H. Zumberge Library has served as Grand Valley’s main library. It will now help consolidate several departments at its convenient location near the center of campus, and will allow the university to free up much-needed classroom space in other buildings.

Built in 1969, the library has a distinctly mid-century feel. “Our team is working to preserve the historical architecture and intertwine new, modern features,” says Project Executive, Mike Houseman.

The James H. Zumberge Hall addition and renovation is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2014.
