Local Manufacturing Company Expands

June 18, 2013 (Grand Rapids, MI) – Kent Manufacturing and Wolverine Building Group are pleased to announce the completion of Kent Manufacturing’s expanded manufacturing space and new, modern offices.

General contractor Wolverine Building Group design-built the $1.2 Million construction project, which provides Kent Manufacturing with much-needed production and administrative space as part of a $3.2 Million project. After outgrowing their existing location, Kent Manufacturing purchased an existing 40,000 sq. ft. building just a few blocks down the street from their current facility. When they determined that they still needed more space, Kent contracted Wolverine to build a 30,000 sq. ft. addition onto the existing building with a new 5,000 sq. ft. office within the footprint of the addition. Wolverine’s team also completed renovations and improvements within the existing building.

Kent Manufacturing is a family-owned business that specializes in the conversion of pressuresensitive adhesive coated materials to manufacture parts which are used in a variety of products for sealing, joining, fastening, surface protection and vibration dampening. Kent services the Automotive, Medical, Electronics and Open Office Furniture markets. The company has been located in Grand Rapids for over 50 years.

“Working with the Muraski family members on their family-owned and run business made this project a true joy to be part of,” said Wolverine President Mike Kelly.
