Construction Begins on Senior Meals

Grand Rapids, MI – (August 2, 2012) Wolverine Building Group is pleased to announce the beginning of construction for the new production kitchen for Senior Meals Program, Inc. located on Wilson Ave between 28th St. and Chicago Dr. in Grandville, MI.

Wolverine Building Group and architect Post Associates are working together on the 17,000 square foot, $800,000 renovation, which will include interior demolition, reconfiguration of existing architectural features, and food facility upgrades. The renovated facility will be Senior Meals’ headquarters for food preparation, packaging, and delivery and will double the production capacity of the organization from 750,000 to 1 million meals annually. The project is scheduled for completion in November 2012.

Senior Meals Program, Inc. provides home-delivered meals, dining center catering, and nutritional supplements for seniors in West Michigan, and it is the largest independent senior nutrition service provider in the state.
