Indianapolis, IN – (June 3, 2014) BarFly Ventures, LLC, and Wolverine Building Group have begun construction for the first location of HopCat in Indianapolis, IN.

HopCat’s Indianpolis location will be part of the Broad Ripple Parking Garage and Shops, just north of downtown Indianapolis. General contractor Wolverine Building Group is working with Henrickson Architecture and designer David Dodde on the project.  The 9,620 square foot restaurant and brew pub will feature the wide variety of craft beers on tap, as well as the unique menu items and signature “crack fries” that the Grand Rapids and East Lansing locations of HopCat are known for.  “HopCat Indianapolis was inspired by the artistic heart and comfortable atmosphere of the Broad Ripple neighborhood,” says designer David Dodde.  “My goal was to make the environment relaxed and inviting with wood floors and beautifully handcrafted mahogany bars.”

“We’re proud to be working with a team of trade contractors who are local to the Indianapolis area,” says Wolverine’s project manager Kevin Kozak. “HopCat will be all locally-built, and we expect it will integrate really well into the craft beer scene in Indianapolis.”

Wolverine Building Group is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year.  For more information about Wolverine Building Group, please visit
